Mac and Cheese Lasagna Delight

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 package of macaroni and cheese (prepared as per package instructions)
  • 1 jar of spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the macaroni and cheese according to the package instructions. Set it aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season it with minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent.
  4. Drain any excess fat from the browned beef. Add the jar of spaghetti sauce to the skillet with the beef. Stir well and let it simmer for a few minutes until heated through. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  5. In a baking dish, start layering. Begin with a layer of the meat and sauce mixture, followed by a layer of the prepared macaroni and cheese. Repeat until you run out of ingredients, finishing with a layer of macaroni and cheese on top.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top layer of macaroni and cheese.
  7. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Cut into portions and serve while warm.
